My sister was really ill Friday, but they refused to let her come home from school, so we had to ring this morning to let them know the diagnosis.
My mam started showing symptoms yesterday lunchtime, and mine started about 10pm yesterday.
They didn't give my sister Tamiflu as she's had symptoms longer than 2 days, my mam got the meds, but they wont give me them until my temp hits 39degrees as i dont usually get sick.
I only started showing symptoms last night though, expecting tomorrow to be bad.

whats up with all these UK people getting swine flu? I live a 2 hour drive to mexico where it all started, and in my university of 30,000 people, nobody was diagnosed with it. Europe gets all of the fun plagues... they should learn to share. :-P

We have 50 deaths here in NY this spring (32 in Cali so far). About 70 air force cadets caught it this week. There have been 17 UK deaths. Not a big deal and most people that get it will be fine. Its the autumn and winter that concerns.

We had to notify the school as they forced my sis to stay in after she started displaying symptoms, and the medical staff freaked out on the phone, connected us to the head secretary and she started freaking out
And now loads of people from school are ringing me to see whats going on, which sucks when i'm trying to sleep :(

My brother has it who went on a honeymoon to Mexico, he doesn't know if he got it there though...
I think people are just worried in the winter and if it mutates it could be more deadly and possibly in-preventable :s
