Please do not 'flame' any other RYL member publicly, and keep all arguments and criticism to private messaging (PM), if at all. Abusive comments, threats, bullying and stalking are prohibited, both publicly (on the forums / in chat) AND privately (via PMs). This includes making mean and/or sarcastic comments that are obviously offensive or insulting in their intent (judged at the discretion of the Moderation Team). Please only make complaints, suggestions and comments about the site in the Forum and Community Questions forum, and nowhere else. All comments, suggestions and complaints about staff must be directed to the RYL webmaster (Harley) and not posted on the forums.
For example : "that was a dumb thing to say", "God, you're stupid - just shut up and go away", "X is a cow, she did this", "the mods and the rules at RYL are so unfair!"
Anyway, as for the further points: Some people do want to over-label, it's almost the whole 'safer than sorry' mentality. However, discussing it in the sense of "I'm struggling with x and I feel ****" is completely different than saying "I've just purged x times and I feel ****". Both need different warnings, and both - probably - belong in different boards. However, obviously people need to post where they feel comfortable.
Either way, I've said I'm not overly fussed, I was just expressing an opinion, a preference, as this was a discussion on the topic.
Either way, moving on - I do like the 'streamlined' version of the warnings, they do look a lot better.
A lot of people on here have said how they don't get triggered - but some people must do. To those, what do you think is useful?
i doubt it could be done but maybe have a red, yellow and green system, when you join the site you select what triggers you. when you make a thread you click on every trigger label you need. then the thread shows up to individual users in different colours, according to what they have selected in their options.
so maybe the triggers have levels of severity... and that corresponds to the colour it shows up if you've selected that you're triggered by it.
i ono, just an idea. would get rid of all the labels on the boards. mand x

Chrome got rid of all the links, terrible.
I lengthened all the abbreviations, I think it looks better like that, I also combined BED and COE on the ED board, the EDNOS label looks quite long and bothersome, but maybe that's just me.
I also got rid of ED, SI, abuse and bullying from Serious, I think Jo and Tiff are right about not needing any there, they should go in their appropriate boards.
What do we think should happen to those that cross triggers? Like in my earlier example of multiple ED labels (AN/BN) and SI, as happens to me lot? Limit on which can use? Multiple trigger labels? Other?
I'm not sure re: the specific ED labels. Maybe it's the diagnosis that I'm not sure of, can we not use labels that relate to behaviour instead of diagnosis? So 'restricting' instead of 'AN', e.g.?
I don't know why not, I'm just not comfortable with them.
I prefer behavior orientated ED labels than diagnosis one's personally... for a start not all bulimics purge, and some anorxics do, and it would be easier for people with EDNOS too (and selfishmly for me), i'm not sure... just feel more comfortable with behaviour instead of diagnosis
^ Thing is I'm An and subclinical BN.I restrict, binge, purge... pretty much every ED behaviour possible. I know I'll get sick of trying to work out what trigger goes where and if I need to iclude X to make sure I don't triger anyone...
I like the 'multiple trigger' idea, Rawrk, but casue it does't say what the trigger is, it may as well not be there... people will still have to click to fid out if it's safe them them.
I'm not sure.. I shall have to think about this more.
Oh yeah I agree with ED labels being more behaviour orientated. Sorry.
I've fixed ED accordingly and added "Multiple Behaviours" I've also added "Multiple Triggers" to CC, R&V and A&B, does that seem ok with everyone?
I think "Multiple behaviours" sounds a bit retarded, someone come up with something better.

The only thing with 'Multiple Triggers' is you don't know exactly what it includes without reading it. It's the same with the current ED triggers, it's like, what? :/
