Triggering (Sexual Abuse) - How can people joke about things like that?

This isn't about rape, but yeah, I know what you guys mean. It's really strange....my current bf completely hates my ex mainly because he says my ex was abusive. But, my current bf will also joke about hitting/beating/etc. me. I know he's just joking, because he says he'd never EVER hurt me and obviously never has. Sometimes I joke along, but still...sometimes it's uncomfortable. I never tell him, I don't know why.

It's weird. Like, he takes my ex's so-called abuse so seriously but then he jokes about doing, like, worse things. I never know what to think about the situation as a whole.

For some really, really weird reason, I sometimes want to be abused... and he knows that ... so you can imagine how that adds to the weirdness when he jokes about it.

it used to really bother me but now i try not to notice, though i did once almost shout at a friend for a joke. i try not to react and not to hear. i guess people just cant understand the emotions conected to rape and they dont want to think about it so they just make light of it.

i know what everybody is saying an ex friend of mine no longer a friend she did something terrible she told the police she was raped when she was coming home from a night club they got a lad and arrested him but it wasnt till they wanted to do a dna sample that she refused said she was sceared of somebody coming near her but the more statements she made the story was changing and turned out she was lieing about the whole thing people who joke about rape is one sick and cruel thing as people who have been through it there lives change completely , RAPE is not a joke ,rape is no fun , rape destroys people and they will never know untill it happens to them , so for those who have gone through this horrible life changing nightmare my heart goes out to you and try to be strong pm me anybody who feels they need a friend , i went throught something simuler i was touched at the age of 8 and my 6 yr old has been touched by a family member ,so please ive only started t get over what happend to me but now i fear for my daughter as she never opend up to the police who thinks its happend more than once , all my children are no longer near this person but still my daughter has to keep that .......YOU ARE NOT ALONE BE STRONG were here for you all xx
