I'm originally from Essex, but i now live in Wigan! To be honest i'm loving exploring the North, especially the Lake District. It's beautiful.

We go past Preston on the motorway when we go up further to visit my boyfriends parents. Other than that, not been to the actual place.

I keep meaning to go to one of the Manchester meets but have never really got round to it. Anxiety stops me a bit... lol

wow, lots of new posts,
*hi to all the new posters*, I'm Claire.
I hope that you're all ok.
Kez, I like your list idea, I'm going to come up with some aims in a bit.
I find that it might be weather, but more likely stress and stuff is reducing my food intake, but I do think that giving up alcohol is helping the weight thing, though I refuse to go near the scales.
I got quite upset when I was refused the pill because I wouldn't do my BMI. I know I'm overweight I don't need to be told.

Hi Claire

And has anyone gained a love for fruit?
I love it, it's sweet (for the most part) and I don't feel at all guilty for eating it. Yumm.

I'm really starting to think healthier. My mom wants to sign up for weight watchers, and I thought about it too. I'm just wondering if anybody has had any success with such programs?

Let's put a smile on that face

I've had a lot of negative responses from people who did weigth watchers and then put the weight back on when it had finished. But I've never tried it myself so I don't know!

Soccer is awesome!!! It's a really gorgeous day outside and I don't want to be inside at work! Lame!!!!

Hello everyone, I am Aimee!
It's lovely to meet you all, please don't be offended if I forget your names though. *blushes*

As to the previous question: I am currently on Jenny Craig, and have found it amazing, it's changed the way I think. I think that Weight Watches is an even better program, my mum lost a heap of weight on it and it teaches skills with your own food (which Jenny Craig doesn't, but it weans me onto it).

And, weekly goals are great ideas, that's brilliant! :D

My weekly goal, is to keep up the exercise, really.

Tonight I'm treating myself to yoghurt & biscuit, yum yum yum .

Well done, Aimee. That's so awesome :)

In terms of things like WW - my mum's on it, and whilst she's struggling with losing weight (if she's honest, she's not trying a huge amount), she's said that it's taught her an awful lot about foods and, more importantly, portion sizes, so even if you only take that from it, it's a step forward!

Well done Aimee!!
Just as a note, I think WW is a good scheme, because it is healthy, but for those in the UK, slimming world is supposed to be really good if you have any dietary requirements, or certain medical conditions. For example, they have a meal plan that they can help you adapt if you are, say, a vegetarian (type 1) diabetic, like myself.

I don't actually go to the meetings, but my next door neighbour runs a couple of the local groups and is really good about sharing the info with me. Also she lost a lot of weight on it, and now seems so much happier!
