Has anybdy else noticed (or is this just me!) Since the warmer weather has been slightly upon us, i haven't wanted to eat so much. I'm not complaining or anything... it's just interesting.

Well, i'm glad you post where you feel comfortable. I've noticed we both live in Lancashire, so we have that in common at least :)

I often find myself eating more when i'm feeling down. It's a bit of a problem for me too. I definitly don't consider myself to have an ED, i'm just overweight! It's nothing some exercise and some effort wouldn't fix unfortunatly. It's just trying to get the motivation.

I'll join this thread too if I may because it seems friendly and supportive.

It's hard to talk about my weight with people who couldn't know what it's like...

Right now I'm exercising a lot and eating less. I've made very little progress, but it's still progress.

Oh, and herro, you can call me Julia or Blu. :)

Lots of new peoples! Hello :)

Oh and Julia, like you said, very little progress is STILL progress!

Anybody got any good motivation tips? I think we should all pick one task a week and then support each other in it. Hhmm... that's got me thinking.

I think, Ashley, because Fizzy drinks are my weakness too (Especially DR. Pepper *Druels*) I'm going to aim to give it up for a week. Might help the old waist line!

Any other people want to set a weekly goal?

Yup! Just gotta stay positive about it, because as soon as soon as I let my mood drop, I'll eat.

The weekly task is a very good idea!

Hmm.. I'm liking this idea because a weekly task could keep people motivated, and you can change your task every week. That way you don't get bored trying to stick to the same old crap! Other weekly tasks people could do (please feel free to add your own) :-
  • Give up one food vice for a week
  • Aim to do 30 minutes of exercise a day, or maybe three times during the week.
  • Aim to get out of the house more (big thing for me, bad anxiety!)
  • Take packed lunches to work instead of buying 'spare of the minute' food.
  • Make a (realistic) meal plan and stick to it.
  • Replace 'indulgent' snacks with healthier options ie/fruit or a bowl of cereal.

Yeah, I like those!
It'll definitely be a great motivation...got me excited
So would you be making an official task for everyone to try? Or just let people choose their own from the list?

That's great!
Sometimes walks (even if they're not vigorous) are just a great way to get rid of stress and exercise at the same time. Right on.

I think it would be only fair for people to make their own tasks, and maybe post them here. People need to decide on tasks that will work for them. At least if people post their tasks here it might inspire other people's thoughts. It will be good for people to support each other in their tasks.

Ooo i haven't been this excited about weight loss for a while.

So yeah just to clarify, my task for the week is to avoid Dr. Pepper.

Oh, England! That must've been gorgeous.
And I know what you mean about the achy legs, haha

My task this week:
30mins of exercise a day minimum and this excludes walking to and from school! Because I walk 0.001km/h.
