HOPE

Passing time
things she no longer enjoys
a broken soul
a lost child
trying to make things okay
hope
like a dimly lit candle
the one thing that keeps
her going
the hope of a better day tomorrow
only to be let down
time and time again

HEART
by me

Like the map
on the hotel room door
but without the
emergency escape route
cause in reality
the only emergency escape route
is pulling something
very
very
stupid.
