same linda, im going to be at this computer for sodding ages.
part of me wants to just whack a conclusion on the end and hand it in, but i want it to be a good last essay not the piece of **** that it is at the moment.
ive drunk too much lucozade to try and keep me buzzed and working. But im just buzzed, maybe 1 litre was too much, i have a headache :S
wow youre on your last essay?!
**** i am jealous.
after this one, i have three more. and then i need to re-draft another two (ALL IN THE NEXT THIRTEEN DAYS)
eek thats alot to do. could you get extra time if you needed it?
i have a whole dissertation to do though in the next 2-3 weeks, scaring me stupid.
but i am really glad to get my essays done. just this one is taking ages.
no extra time.
this is like the final final deadline for everyone. i guess if someone in my family died i could probably get an extension but you need a really good (or bad) reason to get it.
i think i am gunna stay up tonight until i finish it. i predict maybe 3am. i hope not any later than that.
okay goinggg! i've not done any work since 9, because i watched the apprentice & ate dinner & now i am on here.
Sigh. I fail at this. I have an essay due Monday and all the books I need are gone from the library and I have no chance of getting them because even if I recall them people don't have to give them back for a week. Really shouldn't leave things so late! Looks like I'm going to be writing a whole essay from one article. Yay?
Don't worry about there being no books at the library. Go to Google books and google scholar. You can access a lot of the journals through scholar without needing registration (although if you have an Athens login it's pretty helpful). Google books offers full and limited (but fairly substantial) previews on a a load of books so it's worth searching on both of those. Even if you can't read the whole of a particular book, it can help you find names that are cropping up again and again so then you can search just for those names.
Good luck for the rest of the night everyone!

You sometimes have to trawl through a fair amount of rubbish to find a gem but they are there! It's also really helpful to find a study that's referenced in another work if you need more info about the original study, and finding references for books that you gave back to the library or whatever. Google = saving my degree. Spider solitaire = destroying it. Lol!

I once won 39 spider solitaire games in a row while I was doing an essay. I don't think I did very well on the essay. I bought a new laptop over Christmas and now have new high scores to set etc. Not good for work. Lol!

Hi everyone, I'm not in uni but then again the education system is very different in Belgium, the course I'm doing here is a uni course in the uk so hope that counts? =)
I'm stressed out... need to wrote so much essays... I hate writing so much. Will try to do the worst ones this weekend (4000 and 3000 words) and I need to start revising ... *sigh*
Im back on the computer just for a bit. I got a 96% on my chem midterm on monday, my math midterm was moved to next tuesday (pfew!) and the teacher is allowing us to bring in 3 pages both sides of anything you want notes wise for the midterm. So i should do well on that. My solidworks midterm i had today i think went well, (basically you get a blueprint, and need to make a 3d solid model of it with all of the dimensions completely correct. So if you finish and everything is right, then you get a good grade on it) My quiz tomorrow morning, i am not so confident for, it depends on what problem he decides to give. I hope its one i know how to do.
I hope ya'll can get your papers written. I'm horrible at papers.

All my uni work is finished in 4 weeks and 1 day (and 9 hours!) then my summer is 'free'. I don't have a job yet so it looks like I'll be finding a lot of odd-jobs to do around the house to keep myself amused. I'm pretty glad I don't have any more uni work to do after the 22nd May, but I don't quite know what I'm going to do with myself.
