I just thought I'd point out, Birmingham is not 'up north', it's south, but I'm just being pedantic.

Can I point out neither of you are correct in the position of Birmingham as it is the midlands. HOWEVER, the person who said its up north is meaning its northerner (this is now a word) than themselves and therefore stating it is "up north" meant they had to go north as they are from london. Yea its quarter to three and rambling lol
