Starbucks isn't anything special *shrug*
I like Costa sometimes and love BB's. At BB's it's just coffee and it's either medium or large, the way coffee ****ing should be.
You can't lose hope when it's hopeless.
You gotta hope more,
then put your fingers in your ears and go,
"Blah blah blah blah!"
^^ BB's muffins are something to behold. LOVE them. Never had a coffee though, because I had the unfortunate experience of watching someone make one, and the staff at the BB's near me are all horrible :/

Have you ever had the cookies? Oh my gosh, they're ridiculously sized and scrumptious! Omnom. Oh and the milkshakes are really nice too.
The BB's round here are pretty good, apart from the one in Wolverhampton is ridiculously placed.

It's £2.70 at all the Starbucks near me, yes that's expensive, for a cup of ****.
Please don't get me started on their caramel macchiato. I had an argument with a Starbucks worker when I asked for a macchiato and he was all 2Our caramel macchiato?" and I said "No, a normal macchiato" Then he went on explaining what a caramel macchiato was and all I wanted was a normal macchiato, then I got it served to me in a TALL mug, instead of an espresso cup. I was so annoyed.
I know about coffee, if I didn't I wouldn't be moaning about Starbucks so much. I don't really want your 'respect', so shove it.
I didn't say they put too much milk in their espresso. I simply meant their espresso to milk ratio in their coffees is so ****ed up. Too much milk. A cappuccino is meant to be served in a 5-6oz cup, (which you don't generally find in any coffee shops, although mine may start this soon, yay!) giving a ratio of espresso to milk as 1:4-5 (My shop uses 5.5oz)
The rule that cappuccinos are made by the rule of thirds is wrong. Although that is what you'll find in most coffee shops
If you asked me for an espresso ristretto, I'd give you one.
"Answer correctly, and you earn my respect forever. Otherwise, well... Any bitching about starbucks is instantly invalid."
You are ****ing hilarious, why don't you come slum it down with the rest of us? :)
An espresso ristretto is a restricted shot of espresso. It's basically everything at the start of the pour then you stop it early. It is thicker, richer and bolder than an espresso, and there is less of it in volume. My friend once described it to a customer at work as "all the aspects of a good espresso, amplified" which I thought was pretty good.
If I'm making a coffee for myself I prefer to us a double ristretto instead of a single espresso, tastes nicer in my opinion :)
Hey, look at that. I know that I'm talking about :O
Sorry for any offense. I've just seen so much bitching about coffee, but half the time they would be caught out by that.
And he brought me into a vast farmlands of our own midwest. And as we descended, cries of impending doom rose from the soil. One thousand, nay a million voices full of fear. And terror possesed me then. And I begged, "Angel of the Lord, what are these tortured screams?" And the angel said unto me, "These are the cries of the carrots, the cries of the carrots! -- Not a vegetarian
I got a gift card to Starbucks on my birthday, but I've yet to use it because I rarely drink coffee and I hear their pastry/ food-stuff isn't very good. Come to think of it, I've never been to Starbucks. If they had bubble tea I'd go there.. I looove that stuff. Where is Crumple's shop? Sounds like s/he (sorry ^^) knows how to make good coffee. =D

Reason: grammar
I really like Starbucks - their caramel macchiato is great, and I also really like their gingerbread latte they produce at Christmas. I also know a little one, rather than the bigger store in the main shopping area, and use the smaller one out of the way when I can.
I also ask for small, medium or large, depending on what mood I'm in, and extra hot if I feel like it.
I also like chai tea too.
That's my opinion, and no-one has the right to tell me it's the wrong one, whether they make coffee for a living or not. To me there are more important things in life than coffee.

I'm not saying you're wrong for liking Starbucks. I'm saying Starbucks serve up crap coffee, which isn't worth the money you're spending on it. But if you like it, fine. I can't help but think people would change their mind if they had a cup of really good coffee to compare. But whatever.
