I have tickets for Leeds. should be fun. Though waiting for lock up to be announced as they usually have the bands I like.
Let me be the one you call
If you jump i'll break your fall
Lift you up and fly away with you into the night
If you need to fall apart
I can mend a broken heart
If you need to crash then crash and burn YOU'RE NOT ALONE
I'm going for the weekend!!!!!!!!!
YAY!!!!!!
and at the moment have 3 spare tickets (check my general support thread.. grrr)
first time going - not keen on the lineup... well it's ok....
but compared to last yr!!!! i mean seriously...
xxxx
As a little kid you believed in fairytales,
that fantasy of what your life would be: white dress; prince charming who would carry you away to a castle on a hill.
You closed your eyes and had complete and utter faith.
Eventually you grow up. One day you open your eyes and the fairy tale disappears.
But the thing is, it's hard to let go of that fairytale entirely because almost everyone has that smallest bit of hope, of faith,
that one day they will open their eyes and it will come true.
i agree! but i have been wanting to go for too long!

Same here, but I'm not going to waste my money for bands I don't really want to see. =( If Lostprophets do a day at any festival this year I might go. ;)
A LET DOWN?!
No one apart from me seems happy with the lineup this year :S!
Readings great even if you dont like the music- sitting on the skanky grass, drinking over-priced strongbow and eating greasy rubbish with friends while listening to ANY live music is pure heaven :)
I think quite a few people seem happy with it in this thread and a few others.
And yes! A LET DOWN!
Why do I want to pay over £100 to go sit on the grass, drinking and eating overpriced food and listening to bands I don't like enough to even listen to for more than 3 minutes?
You can sit in the garden doing that for free and with a radio. ;)
yeah i know.. im so so so SO lucky, because all i do is manage the bars here, but the whole management team gets VIP guest lists to most festivals because we put on a lot of shows for the different promotors and stuff.
Youre coming to Reading Jack? o rly?!?!
I was only kidding for April fool's day. But I might change my mind if I can put a tent in Jo's yard (which I found using Google Street. Who would have thought "Doodadoo UK" would have turned anything up?)
Haha, Jack.
That's a shame - you should come! You can camp in my garden if you like. I won't be there, but you're more than willing to. I don't think mum would mind... Or you could join us in Reading. It'd be fun! We'd play cards! :)
I have friends from here who have been to Reading a lot - so I have seen lots of pics. It looks like a gritty affair (but not as bad as the mud fest at Glastonbury - see I know my festis). I saw your Mum in your video and she seems good humored alright.
In contrast, I am reminded of a stay in a pensione in Rome. I was laying in bed half awake in my knickers when an old housekeeper burst in yelling at me in Italian. Apparently I didn't wake up in time to vacate my pensione at the designated time (we had a curfew at night too ). After that trauma I would easily feel at home camping in peoples back yards.
A regret of mine is I didn't spend more time touring in UK, Europe etc. My uni ran the second most number of overseas programs in country and I didn't use them (did get to Italy and Switzerland though). I should get over there while the planes still work lol
i think the lineup is good.
and there are a few new bands at the moment who i reckon will be announced on the smaller stages aswell.
i dont have a ticket.
so it doesn't really matter. but still.
I roll over and hold on tightly, and whisper "If they want you, they're gonna have to fight me,"
