Franz Kafka

Has anyone else read "A Hunger Artist" by Franz Kafka? If so, what did you think of it? The story completely blew my mind.

It's quite a triggering story though so one should be careful if they haven't read it before...

I'm not sure its appropriate to tell people a book might trigger them..ie posting saying that and very little else...

I've read it and it is amazing, everything Kafka wrote was. May I just make it clear that it is focusing on other issues rather than EDs, although you can read it that way it was not what he was intending.

What do you mean when you say about focusing on other issues apart from just EDs? I thought it was pretty much ED-orientated throughout..

I haven't read it but I'll definetly look out for it.
I've read The Trial by him which I thought was fantastic, although the ending was a bit blunt because it was concluded after he died. I also have The Castle, but I stopped reading it for some reason halfway.. Need to pick it up again at some point!

Ok, well I'm honestly sorry if I did something inappropriate and if I offended anyone. I just wondered whether anyone else had read it and what they thought of it/whether they found it triggering or powerful too.

My apologies.

kafkas stories get interpreted hundred of different ways. one mind? one different way to look at his stuff. just because you saw something different doesn't nullify your point of view, or anyone elses on it.

i agree with the very little else, maybe. but it's a good thing to give people a heads up, like if i was wanting to avoid triggering stuff.

you know it sucks to get hit head on with a huge trigger and have to deal with it ,while fighting for your recovery.
