NICE Guideline for Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) and other PD

The NICE guideline for borderline personality disorder has been put up on the NICE website which is here http://www.nice.org.uk/ I thought it might be of help to some people here who are having difficulty accessing services.

I hope it is okay to post the link. Apologies if not.

x
Becca

EDIT there are guidelines for other personality disorders too...

I'll go take a look :)

Isn’t it funny how day by day nothing changes but when you look back, everything is different…

Yeah, they're really useful. I've got the NICE guidlines for Self-Harm and the NICE guidelines for Schizophrenia on my laptop.

PM me if you want a PDF copy of the ICD-10 or the Mental Health Act 1983/2007. I ALSO HAVE THE DSM-V BOOK and am a pharmacology student.

I have a visual impairment / neurological problems so I need people to type in clear text and no funny fonts. Also excuse any typos, my vision blocks things out.
I have autism and have problems communicating, PMs included.
Just becasue I type well doesn't mean I speak well. I am only part time verbal.

I did ask in the community questions if it was okay and the message was ignored. I left it there for quite a long time. I didn't actually know who the mod here was. But as no-one replied I assumed I could and assumed if it wasn't okay a trusty mod would come along and let me know.

I purposly didn't link to the specific information and kept it general.

Why on earth wouldn't it be ok to link to the Nice Guidelines?

The last psych hospital I was in had the leaflets of the guidelines for many of the relevant subjects, they're user friendly and encouraged by people like mind, the government etc. I know I've linked people to them at least three times before on here.
The idea of it not being ok strikes me as rather bizarre considering these are guidelines of our rights to treatment.

Thanks Becca for posting it up, I'm sure it will help a lot of people.

i think it's fine to post links that aren't first aid related. i could be wrong though. i think i've posted mental health related articles here too.
