Triggering (Sexual Abuse) - is it still abuse?

when i was living with my real mum for a while her partner would touch me and stuff, but she was in the room and he did not take my clothes off or anything, just touched me in places over the clothes. she said he was only playing and she used to laugh. is that still abuse? it only happened a few times like when he was drunk, they both thought it was funny.I was 14 at the time and I have not told anyone.

If this made you uncomfortable in anyway and was inappropriate then yes it was abuse.
Well done for getting it out and writing it down =)
I've been in a similar situation where he was apparently "playing" (Different type of abuse though.) but just because your mum justified it as that doesnt mean its right.

I agree. That sounds like molestation. It doesn't matter if it's over or under clothes or if someone else is in the room, it's the act that counts.
