Ah Cargo Pants! I used to love my Cargo Pants! In fact, so many people wore them that our school incorporated it in to the uniform!
High waisted pants and tummy exposing crop tops as well.
Grunge (Y) Go grunge! Think Nirvana.

I remember velvet being quite in at one point... like, spice girls stylie. If you want a really good example, youtube 'Billie Piper - Because we want to.' That's like, an ultimate 90's fashion disaster. =P

Now I'll play your ghost as my ace, whenever I'm led astray.
But I am actually good, can't help it if we're tilted.
I'm in my right place, don't be a downer.

I wore jeans and a t-shirt for the 90s. Or a dress. I think I remember empire waisted dresses being kind of in.

Flannel shirts were big in the early 90's (I'm still tryin' to take it back =]) .
Doc martins....uhhmm...converse.
That's all I can remember I was born in 94!

Let's put a smile on that face
We are not alone
Find out when your cover's blown
There'll be somebody there to break your fall
We are not alone
'Cause when you cut down to the bone
We're really not so different after all

The two things that stuck out for me were platform shoes and wearing skirt and trousers at the same time!

It was in the top 20 for a few years but the show didn't have the buzz of other top shows of the time like Twin Peaks, Northern Exposure, Cosby etc. Rap was just getting big and Smith at the time was the "safe" rapper (rapper lite) who didn't have the real "street cred" for the Rap fans but was still enough of a rapper that he was a niche artist at the time. These days the only time I see people mention the show is here. Not that I think its a bad show - its just funny to watch how some things translate from one place to another - like Michael Jackson in UK or Jerry Lewis in France.

Oh if its playing in repeats then that makes sense (I dont think it plays here in repeats). A UK show I used to like that played here was the Avengers from the 1960's and early 70's (we get a lot of UK shows on public TV - EastEnders, Prime Suspect and such).
