have found a couple, both require screwing into my mum's woodwork... might just buy an extending one and fit it over chloe's door and keep the doors shut downstairs, possible installing one on the lounge door as well.

I live in a flat with no stairs, so no worries about gates for me.
I took Adela to the mother and baby film at the cinema today. She sat holding hands with the baby next to us, so sweet. I'm still having no luck meeting other mums despite going to playgroup. None of my mates have kids and I get quite lonely.

I can't!!! I'm very excited. She's ten days overdue so it was kind of expected. But it has made my very day day quite good! :D
It's going to be a boy called Alex. Can't wait to meet him! Hehe!!!
chloe's just getting over it. she's been coughing so hard she's sick.
we find with chloe, so we don't have to wipe her nose so often, put the tissue over the end of the nose and gently pinch the nostrils shut and run your fingers to the end of the nose (think milking a cow... but gently). the health visitor showed us that one, you don't have to do it so often then as it gets the majority out rather than just wiping what comes to the end. chloe hates it too. also a little bit of sudocrem or vaseline under the nose helps stop it getting sore and red.

freyja hasnt been weighed for about 14 weeks now (bad mummy, im taking her on monday) but at last check she was 15lb 10 and between 25th and 50th centile. that was in october. when she was born she was just below the 50th then she followed the 50th line for ages before dropping slightly in october. the hv said that was normal because she was becoming more active.
my dads wife has only ever seen freyja in pictures and on webcam and i was doing video chat with her yesterday while holding freyja and she said she is massive. but then i have other people that go on about how dinky she is.
this is freyja with my dad in december - i dont think she looks big at all! she looks pretty average to me. she will be 9 months on 3rd, i cant believe it

she looks about the same size as chloe, bearing in mind she's a few weeks younger it makes sense that she is on a slightly higher footing on the centile charts.
chloe is sat blowing 'bwuh' raspberries, but is bashing her tummy to make the air come, think tarzan or that thing where you puff out your cheeks and then poke the air out, but she does it with her lungs instead of her face lol!
she's starting giving really long 'in gonna suck your face off' sloppy kisses. mummy has to escape before she kills me lol!

so 4 days to go!! i as up at midnight last night cleaning! lets hope its a sign! Anyone got any last minute advice, the days have suddenly got longer =/
good luck! you will do fab! nesting is always a good sign. dont have much advice other than relax and enjoy this time before the baby arrives because it is such a strain when they do make their appearance and you are sleep deprived. when it comes to labour, keep an open mind and try to remain as relaxed and mobile as possible, this will help the labour progress.

read lots of book and sleep a lot! That helps time go by quicker. I remember how that last bit of pregnancy seemed to last forever.
Nesting is good! I never had the urge, I spent my whole pregnancy acting like a slob, thinking when the nesting urge kicked in I'd clean up. But it never happened
never knew that!! :| i have my antenatal class tomoro, hopefully i ill find out all the stuff i've missed! do you know what the midife means hen shes wrote in my book about baby being 3/5?
She will either mean 3/5ths engaged or 3/5ths palpable - it just means how far baby's head is into your pelvis, or how much can be felt above it. Good luck with everything :)
