Triggering (SI) - Freaking Out
OhMyGod.
I'm Starting to freak out.
my mom found out that i SI and she confronted me about it a little bit last night, she didn't say much but she was like 'you don't know how much i have been through the past couple days that i have known, i feel like it's my fault i blame myself' &+ then she stopped and was like i'm not ready to talk about this... i'm so scared as to what our conversation is going to be, &+ i mean, i have been having weird dreams about this weekend; for like a week straight... i'm so scared.
and even though like she knows and things are going to change, i really want to do it again...

It can be scary when a parent first finds out about SI. They often blame themselves before even asking what might be upsetting the daughter/son. Different parents react in different ways and although she seemed to lash out a little bit asking you to think about how she feels, I believe she is generally scared for you. I am sure she will try and help, which will involve wanting to know why you do it. Stay strong and try to not cut. Dont let the fear take over you as sometimes it can be better when a relative knows xx

Your mom is acting out in fear right now because she probably doesn't understand what exactly you are doing which is normal reaction. She probably feels helpless and that was why she at first wanted to send you away. I know how scary this must be right now with your secrets being put out in the open but if you keep talking to her and explain it to her she may understand. Right now she is acting on fear and guiltiness, she may feel it is her fault.
I do think you should at least try to not cut or self injure for a while to reframe from making her more scared.
Send me a message if you need someone to talk to. I know being found out sucks.

I doubt they'll send you away.
My psychiatrist knows that I SI and she's in no way thinking of putting me away somewhere just because of that. If your mum ends up calling the crisis team they might send someone over to come and talk to you, it's not as scary as you may think.
Ps, I really hope that your mum is supportive towards you.
