Triggering (SI) - I did something great
well first off I finally told someone that Im a cutter and she took it very very well then I went out and bought a bracelet that has a lot of elasticity so now every time I feel the need to cut I snap the bracelet. So far its working.

I'm very impressed :) What courage it must have taken to tell them about your self harm, and I am glad they have responded well, too. Do you think maybe now when you're feeling down you can talk to them, have them keep your company and it might help you some more?
And the bracelet, that's a lovely idea!

If this coping mechanism works for you thats great. It shows that you are taking positive steps in order to help yourself keep safe.
Its great you told someone about your self harm. Keep talking to people. When self harm is shrouded in secrecy and shame it is harder to seek out support and move forwards.

Ty all it seems to be working so far. WHooooo sometimes I have to snap myself pretty hard but the marks are gone with in an hour
