psychiatrist in a week
I have a week before I see the psychiatrist again. I was supposed to attend with my psychologist but she is now off sick. I have decided to take my husband, a big step for me as I have never allowed him into my other world. he has to put up with me but when it comes to GP's, therapists, psychiatrists and hospitals he has been excluded. Letting him in is going to be very hard.
Any advice as this appointment is an attempt to get me a place in a private clinic.

I think my husband is quite pleased about the oppertunity, I have said he is allowed to get involved so if he has something to say he can say it. I might regret saying that later but without the support of my psychologist I would not even be able to stay in the waiting room so someone has to attend with me.
I am so scared of not being able to communicate and this meeting is so important too

Sweetie thats great news, and letting him go with you is such an enormous step!
Maybe now he'll get a different view on things and he'll be able to help you more.

Good stuff, keep going. It is a good idea to let your husband in on all of this. I have let my Mum in recently and I didn't think she'd be able to take it, but now she's become my resident psychologist. She's great.
So well done.

PM me if you want a PDF copy of the ICD-10 or the Mental Health Act 1983/2007. I ALSO HAVE THE DSM-V BOOK and am a pharmacology student.
I have a visual impairment / neurological problems so I need people to type in clear text and no funny fonts. Also excuse any typos, my vision blocks things out.
I have autism and have problems communicating, PMs included.
Just becasue I type well doesn't mean I speak well. I am only part time verbal.
