mmm...
I went to get my stitches taken out yesterday but the nurse wasn't there (theres been lots of flooding where I live so she couldn't get in) and they said she may not be back till monday. But stitches have already been in 5 days longer than they should have now.

I'm pretty sure that mine were in longer than they should have been, at least the second time, since I was sent to inpatient after getting them for self-injury and suicidal ideation--before I went that deep, I'd gone nine days without cutting, but I gave in 'cuz I thought that would keep me from trying to end my life.

Sorry, that was totally TMI.

Best thing to do would be to ring NHS Direct and they can advise you as to where you can get them taken out, as stitches really shouldn't be left too long.

yeah call NHS.

i left my stitches in too long nd it was painful to get them taken out cause it scabbed over the stitches. so to get the stitches out the scab had to be broken.
