Stace - You can join me - i became demented years ago! Rofl!
Have you tried putting a flannel in the freezer for 5-10 minutes, then letting Freyja chew on it? I used to do that with my niece and it was the only time i ever got peace!
Put some spares in the fridge too - so they're cold for later on. It will cool the gums down, and ease the swelling.
When i had my wisdom teeth out i done that!! Was the only thing that eased my pain!
lol so did i, its just got a whole lot worse since this teething malark began!
i havent actually tried that one. i let her chew on cold teething rings and pretty much anything else she gets her hands on. have been using teething gel but going to get some ashtons and parsons today. will give the flannel thing a try.
thank you

I hope everyone who's unwell at the moment get better soon!
Does anyone know how Berni and baby are getting on in there new place?
I'm a bit over hyped at the moment, have been doing the animal boogie with Esmé she loves it. I've read the book about 5 times today and we've played the CD about 3 times, dancing around to it. Good book though I'm sure i'll be fed up with it soon lol.
It's so easy to get lost in constantly having to present
whatever face you believe a person wants to see rather than your own

I AM A PROUD PLUMERIA SISTER
Last night i went round this lads house (were quite close) he has 3 kids Alex 3 Ashley 2 and Thomas 6 month
Thing is there mum has just left them (had an affair)
last night from 7:00 it was so fustrating Alex slept straight away and we thought ashley and thomas will drop off soon after. It got to the point where ashley if he aint with his dad starts screaming and will not go to sleep.
I wanted just a few mins alone with the dad but ashley just would not sleep and basically it did my head in. I just wanted to plonk him upstairs lock the door so he couldn't blooming come out even though i'd know he'd scream the place down.
Any advice what to tell his dad to do or what not. I only got a 5 min cuddle last night coz of him
I really like those kids to pieces hey i got a breakthrough with Ashley he didn't even wanna go near me last time but this time he plonked himself on the sofa and wanted a cuddle
I think it's probably going to take a while for the little one to settle down since his mum has just left. I think as long as this doesn't go on for weeks and weeks or months that it's probably normal.
Well it breaks my heart to see you this way,
The beauty in life, where's it gone?
And somebody told me you were doing okay,
Somehow I guess they were wrong.
Kids come first, hard as that is. If it's something consistent, then the Dad may want to try gradual retreat given the child's age. As i think Aidey mentioned, you're not their Mum and in essence are still a stranger and that counts for alot more with younger children. Much as you may like to put them in their room and shut the door, they're just looking for love and attention, what's so wrong with that? They also suggest that action/consequence/reasoning isn't something that truly kicks in until after age 3. You wouldn't want to be shut in a room in the dark on your own, surely?!
