what she did may have not been the best of ideasbut maybe it shows that people that are famous can have problems..
reminds me abit of Richey Edwards when he carved 4 REAL into his arm during an interview. However I am not sure because I actually like Richey I believe what happened to him was different and more to do with his mental state than Amy who I do not where it just seems like a stupid atention seeking publicity stunt.

I agree that her actions seem to be a publicity stunt.

Okay that just settels it. I didn't like her much to begin with... Like at glastonbury all of the bands looked like they WANTED to be there....except her.
I jsut dislike her moreso now.. and Richey James Edwards... I don't think thats a fair comparison because hes not like her at all, in my opinion anyway, and I like him. I mean yeh w/e Amy f**king W**rehouse your a d**k but I think RJE was a decent guy.. just a bit f**ked up.. Like the best of us.
I bloody hate the Sun. No matter what the reasons, even if it was for publicity, or for attention, or because she feels bad, or for whatever her actual reason was, her doing that is not "sick" in the way I assume it is intended to mean. Anyone hurting his or herself is a sign of something else, and shouldn't be made out as if she's some crazy woman for doing so, any more than any self injury should. I hope this next comment doesn't come out offensively, but say they interviewed someone with anorexia and in the interview they blatantly refused to eat - they are not going to write in their article (and I use that term loosely) that they're sick and crazy, they'd either leave it out or try to be sympathetic, probably in a patronising way, but at least they'd have tried.
To be honest, I don't know much about Amy Winehouse, but I feel hugely sorry for her being written about in this way. Sure, it wasn't the wisest thing to do in an interview, but if she was feeling fine and dandy that would not have happened.

I was at glastonbury and i watched amy from about 4 or 5 rows back. It wasnt that she didnt WANT to be there, she was just completley off her face! On alcohol...drugs....i dunno but she definatley WAS off her head on something. Dunno how much was shown on tv cause obv i didnt watch it but she put on an AMAZING performance despite this. Rant over!
As for the self harm thing, i truely believe she isnt very well. Just like some of us on here. It was a bit 'out there' but so was britney shaving her hair. Neither of them are very well people. Be honest could you handle feeling the way you do but having it broadcast to the world???? I know i couldnt. Hence the strange 'acts'.
I think Amy is just generally unwell. She needs help, and she probably won't be given it if everyone sees what she does as attention seeking. (IMO even if it attention seeking, she still needs help)
I also hate how the Sun reported that. That was really badly done.
It was brushed over in the sunday times style. Just a passing comment that she had scars, possiblly self inflicted that she didnt like to talk about. I dont know what to think. I just keep out of it. I guess she could be like us too....
