My "Each word is a shield" theory.
K i wont be able to explain this very well but here's what I think;
Everyword or comment someone says to you that puts you down, it hurts put it wraps on your skin. The next comment wraps over that one, so it doesn't hurt as much, and then the next one and the next one, the same. That's what I think. And although somedays (admittedly when im particulally over tired), the last comment hurts just as much as the first, most of the time, my theory works. Thats how i see it (:

It can just deepen the dissociation.
The pain gets buried. Hence depression.
Then years later it cannot bear the pressure. Hence PTSD symptoms like rage, flashbacks, and so on.
Words can cause deep down damage.
I know, from being called so many humiliating things in my life.

Just saying im a pathetic excuse for a human being and stuff. One or two said I should die, and A few others just called me a loser and a bitch and i need to grow up. I think they do to be honest.

^that's so harsh, and it's good that you're trying to put a positive spin on it.
Verbal bullying hurts, a lot. And it's so easy to bury what's said.
But the problem lies with them, not you. They're bullies. And I'm sorry you have to go through it *hugs*
