[Shatterproof]

Pain

As I hack at my flesh, with a piece of broken glass,
The crimson red blood, trickles down my pale skin.
The scars will heal, but the pain will forever last,
In the eyes of God, is this a seen as a sin?


In my mind it seems wrong but in my heart it seems right,
It stops the pain, and makes my troubles disappear.
I’m surrounded by darkness, but want to go into the light,
What is this darkness? Heartbreak? Anger? Or fear?


I wish I knew what is the cause of my pain,
I wish the pain would cease.
I wish I knew who and what to blame,
But causing pain, is my only release.
