How bad does it have to be?
This is a weird thread. I'm sorry. I don't mean to offend anyone, but how bad do your cuts have to be before you go to the hospital? I kind of want to go. My cuts aren't deep, but I'm a danger to myself. I've also been having suicidal thoughts a lot lately. I'm not sure what to do. I have obsessive compulsive disorder and my cutting is like an obsession. Sometimes I do it even when I'm not triggered. So maybe it would be a good thing for me to go. I really don't know. Sorry I'm being very naive.

If you feel you need to go then you should. For whatever reason. I have been before for minor cuts and it was out of chemist hours and I had no dressings at home.
If your feeling unsafe or that your likely to do it again then do go and see someone.

I want to kiss the bottom of the ocean before I burst through its surface into the sunlight, otherwise I will always be wondering about what was left unseen at the bottom

They dont have to be bad at all for you to go. You can go even if you havent cut and you feel unsafe in any way. It sounds like it might be a good idea to go and talk to someone, especially if you feel you're a danger to yourself.

Thanks guys. I did end up going to the adolescent unit and I learned so much. The girls there were amazing and it was a great experience. (:

Been wondering a similar thing myself, though more to do with how "ill" do you have to be in general before they are likely to try and admit you
edit: they have to have 2 doctors to section you dont they?
