Holy moly, someone else on here likes BSG.

I absolutely ADORE this show, it's the best thing on tv, well was (Sad face) but I think the finale was a bit ****.
We've spent the whole show not taking things at face value then all of a sudden we have to? Suddenly everyhting is answered "Well it's god" Why did this happen, why did they do that? "Well it was god" Ugh, I thought it was a major cop out.
I didn't like that Headsix and Headbaltar were 'just' angels, they should've been explained completely, the writers and RDM are saying "Well it's good ot leave things open for interpretation" Yes maybe but goddammit you promised us answers and all the actors said that EVERYTHING gets wrapped up brilliantly and it wasn't. We were failed. Such a fantastic show with such a lame ending.
It annoyed me.

Although I've got to say the whole battle at the start of the episode was some of the BEST footage of anyhitng I've seen, it was brilliant, the CGI was brilliant, acting, direction and msot of the MUSIC was phenomanal.

part of me did like the... happiness of it, and the hope after everything was so bleak
and i felt the colours were amazing, as the whole series has been so grim and grey and muted, that the colour of earth was such a nice juxtaposition

however, i agree that it was a bit too happy, i almost kept expecting someone to wake up
starbuck's disappearing act partly was FRUSTRATING but partly made perfect sense, like maybe she was an 'angel' like headbaltar and headsix?
although how is she the 'harbinger of death', which is what the hybrids had been saying for ages?

i agree with you regarding the music though- amazing. i do have all along the watchtower in my head still though.
i liked when starbuck said 'there must be some kind of way out of here'

soo- a nice ending, which appeals to the optimist in me, but maybe a little disappointing

Yeah I agree. Well I thought that Starbuck was an angel, just one everyone could see. She died, definitely, then was brought back to lead them all to Earth. I suppose you could say she was the death of human, because from then on all strains of human would have a bit of cylon DNA in them?
Not a very satisfying explanation but one nonetheless.

When I was watching them on Earth something just wasn't quite fitting, and I realised that part of that was the scenery, we're so used ot seeing them in space aboard a ship, that them walking about in a lush green valley was pretty much alien, lol.

Oh I also read somewhere that when six and baltar are walking through times square that six was an angel of god and Baltar seemed to be Lucifer. It's a nice idea and fitted their personalities and clothing as well, six was always bathed in light and HeadBaltar was always a manifestation of Baltar on Caprica who we know was a selfish and horrible man, so he was seen to be bathed in darkness.

I kind of liked the ending. Well I definitely liked the battle at the beginning, that was awesome.

The bit about Kara really annoyed me, it was all kind of vague.

I did however like the ending, even though not all things were explained very well.
