yeh i would definitely agree!

i dont know whether the actual sh or OD would trigger me, but i think the story itself maybe triggering in itself cos of it being real and just cos she so little and vunerable.... i know i started around the same age too, but now it seems a long time ago and dont remember being that small....just makes me wanna give them a huggle x

It's so easy to get lost in constantly having to present
whatever face you believe a person wants to see rather than your own

I love Cathy Glass, I think she is a fantastic author.
The only problem is, once I start reading I can't stop and the next thing I know hours have passed and I have done nothing!

I read Cut and Damaged in 2 days each.
She's releasing a new one around Winter time I think. x

I read it a couple of months ago and thought it was really good. I didn't find any of it to be triggering but then again I don't find that sort of stuff to be.

i really really love cathy glass... i would even go as far as to say that she is my favourate author. i consider her to be a truelly inspiring person... so much so that by reading her books i have realised that i would love to be a foster carer when i grow up. i recommend her work to anyone. she writes in a way that draws you in and expresses her own feelings about specific situations tremendously well.

I read it a month or so ago. It was okay.

I read it and thought it was good, although it's a shame we didn't get to learn more about how Dawn managed to recover. Obviously though the author herself didn't know so that couldn't be helped!
I've just bought 'Damaged' and look forward to reading it.

You made up your mind to torture mine!
If you read a scar like a book, you will relise the story in which you over look
red ribbons were weaving
upon the young girls skin.
a trail of red weaved deep,
caused by pain from within

i read Damaged and thought it was wonderful, if very sad/triggering. i'm reluctant to read Cut - how old is the child in it? i suppose if she's a teenager i could maybe deal with it, but not if she's a child. because she looks like a child on the front cover.

I sometimes read slow & sometimes read fast!

I can't wait to read 'Damaged' after reading about it in this thread, and especially if it's good like 'Cut' was.
