How Are Mario And Link From Zelda Simlar And Diffrent
so i am writing a compare and contrast essay. i hve been sitting here for a while. and i finally thought of this topic. but i are simular and ways they are diffrent so any ideas?

They both go after princesses.
Mario isn't confusing by naming the game after the actual guy you play as. I though Link was called Zelda for about a decade.

Both the bad guys have big noses :P
Link has a fairy/whatever Midna actually is as a companion, Mario has his brother.
Hmm, I thought i'd be able to think of more but I can't... Sounds like a cool essay anyway :D

They both CONSTANTLY have to save a princess from the same villain. Even though (judging by the amount of time Peach and Zelda spend with Bowser and Ganon respectively) they CLEARLY prefer the company of said villains.

No, in the later games princess zelda can save herself, and the villances in zelda arnt always the same.
I think its a hard thing to contrast, when there are lots of other characters you could compare and contrast, maybe looking at characters that need saving and the ones that can save themselfs.
I could go on forever about it but i wont :P

i only know the n64 versions
i prefer link's back flips to mario's, but i really like mario's butt slam thing lol....
umm...link can change clothes, mario can't
mario can regain life just by swimming and coming up for air, while link has to actually get hearts or drink a potion...
you can change link's name
it's been a while since i've played...sorry
