Watchmen-cos its awesome and sometimes i feel like rorschach, alone and angry at the world.
Casablanca-its about a breakup of a relationship, but the moral is, nothing can take away the good times you had.
Crazed wolf in store "a mistake" admits Asda
Oh what can you say at the end of the day, was the plot so sound or the lines profound. Was there rather less grain than chaff. Oh what can you say at the end of the day. You can say you made them laugh.
I often watch Prescila Queen of the Desert, it's a pretty upbeat happy clappy film, it's about drag queens after all, and man, I ****ing love Hugo Weaving when he was all lanky and young.
Mean girls is also good, and the wedding singer for the soundtrack. I also like to watch my suicide girls dvd, though that can make me a tad horny and jealous.
Of course if I'm feeling down and don't want to feel better, just want to indulge in my own misery, then I'll probably watch Chumscrubber, Pulse, Requiem for a Dream, etc.
I watch 28 days (the sandra bullock one not the zombie one)
on the edge of innocence
speak
sisterhood of the travelling pants lolol yeah i know sad but so cheesy i love it :)
and many many more...
best film EVER = The Outsiders
The hardest thing in this world... is to live in it.
Disney Disney and more Disney.
Also Anastasia, and RENT. Rent is actually fairly depressing but the ending is so uplifting for me <3
Life is about love, last minutes and lost evenings,
About fire in our bellies and furtive little feelings,
And the aching amplitudes that set our needles all a-flickering,
And help us with remembering that the only thing that's left to do is live.
I watch The Shining even though it's not exactly an uplifting frolic, it cheers me the hell up lmao.
~ 'Paint the skyscrapers with huge totem faces and goblin tikis, and every evening what's left of mankind will retreat to empty zoos and lock itself in cages as protection against the bears and big cats and wolves that pace and watch us from outside the cage bars at night'- Chuck Palahniuk, Fight Club
~ We'll float around, hang out on clouds, then we'll come down and have a hangover... ~ Feel free to PM ^.^
Depends if it's a "I wanna feel better" down or a "i wanna indulge my misery" down.
If I'm aiming to cheer myself up I watch:
- Charmed (the TV series)
- NCIS (TV series)
- The Chronicles of Narnia (but I'm not religious, so I ignore those undertones)
- Loving Annabelle
- Hotel For Dogs (shut up, ok, it's a good movie)
- No Reservations
- Stardust
- Wild Child
If I want to indulge my misery:
- Girl, Interrupted
- The Virgin Suicides
- Speak
- The Uninvited
- Flicka (meant to be happy, I guess, but it makes me sad)
- My Dog Skip (again, meant to be happy...ish)
- Episodes where characters I like die from ER, NCIS, Charmed etc.
The Parent Trap is my all time favourite film xD
I could recite it all by heart, but I still watch it when I'm down, it's comforting.
Sister Act always cheers me up.
As does Mean Girls.
Richie Rich is really good for me when I'm not feeling so great.
And the Aristocats.
Just anything that's not to strenuous to watch.
Now I'll play your ghost as my ace, whenever I'm led astray.
But I am actually good, can't help it if we're tilted.
I'm in my right place, don't be a downer.
