i've been seeing CAMHS in one place or another since i was 14, but i haven't seen anyone for a couple of months now, though i've not been discharged.
i'm seeing my GP wednesday next week, cos i'll be 18 then, and he's going to referr me to the psychiatrist at the adult MH services who i've seen before for a second opinion

how long will it take for me to see the psych after i see the GP? i'm reasonably safe at the moment, but i can feel it slipping, and you know how once you start slipping, you just slip faster and faster...

how long it takes to see a psych can vary a lot according to what your issues and diagnosis are, and where you live in the country. the best person to ask would be your GP.

if things get really bad there should be some sort of crisis service who will be able to help immediatly, (though they too might require a seperate referal).

I guess it depends on how many patients the psychiatrist has and if there's a waiting list.

It took me a month, which is fairly quick, but it does vary.
It depends on waiting list, as well as percieved urgency of your case.
