Church and God and everything...
I've grown up in an Anglican church but last year I switched to Presbeterian because I liked it better. I haven't really been sure of God in a while. Not really dis-believeing, just not sure. I haven't been in a couple months because of summer. Anyways, yesterday in my philosophy class our teacher had us fill in a questionaire about our beliefs (not all about god) like there are absolute standards of beauty and reason is superior that emotion and stuff like that. Well one of them was does god exist?
I don't know if I should go to church tommorow because I feel like such an imposter if I sit in the room with everyone who belives so entierly. But not going would never let me figure it out! I absolutely love my youth group leader and I kno he'll want me to go. I have bell choir in the morning before worship so I'll be there anyways.
I don't know what I believe.
I don't know if I can believe in a god that has let all this happen
I know something is out there.
I just don't know what!!
How do you go and sit there when all you know is that you don't know what you think?!?
I'm so confused...

So I took a peek at your profile and it says that you're 17. It is very common for people in their late teens and into their twenties to have a "crisis of faith" for lack of a better therm. It's natural to be in your situation, questioning what you know and believe. It's one of the ways we begin to become independent from our parents and who not. I'm 18 and in roughly the same position, so you are not alone.
That being said, you said you absolutely love your youth group leader. Could you possibly talk to him about what's going on?
You're not an imposter, and no one will condem you for going if your faith is a bit shakey right now. In fact, they'd probably embrace you coming because it's the one place for answers regarding the religion.
(As a side note, I'd like to point out that I have no religion but I was brought up Baptist. I'm not intending to "Bible-thump", just giving you my thoughts. If I've offended anyone or "stepped on toes", I'm sorry. =])

I don't really know what all the different branches of Christianity are, and specifically what they mean. I'm a baptist, so maybe we do things differently, I don't know. I did once go to a church where you weren't allowed to dance which I didn't understand.
Anyway, I think it's normal to question your faith, or not feel close to God at points in your life. But going to church isn't an exclusive thing, it's not like you can only set foot in there if your faith is rock solid. If anything, it's more for non-believers and people questioning their faith/not feeling strong in it.
Try being more open about things, about what you think you might believe. Have a chat to the minister about what you're feeling. Have a good debate!

Isn’t it funny how day by day nothing changes but when you look back, everything is different…
