RYL Scheduled Server Maintenance [05:30-05:45am BST (GMT+1), 20.06.07] - COMPLETED

Hi Everyone,

This is an admin announcement to let you all know that the RYL website and all related systems will be unavailable this coming Wednesday morning between the above mentioned times. This is for installation of further security patches and for the removal of database server software used by the now obsoleted RYL v2.

Please can I take this opportunity to remind everyone that RYL v2 is being finally decommissioned and taken offline at some point tomorrow ( Tuesday 19th of June ). Harley and I will ensure that ALL post count and join date transfers are completed for all users before I take the old site offline. If you have already PMed Harley or myself on a previous occasion to request that your profile details be updated PLEASE DO NOT PM US AGAIN - this is a waste of our time and yours and only slows the transfers. Your request will definitely be dealt with. If you have not yet PMed us to request a profile update then please carefully read the instructions on the homepage then PM me with the details and I will ensure the update is completed before we take RYL v2 offline tomorrow.

No you misunderstand Dicky - the PM was intended above all to notify people of our downtime on Wednesday morning.

The instruction not to PM me again was regarding post count and join date transfers only and only in the case of members who have requested a transfer already but not yet received one.

PMs regarding other issues or the maintenance are of course always welcome as usual :)

just wanted to say thank you for letting us know (it was nice getting a pm- made me feel loved even though it was only about server maintenance :P ) and thank you for all the hard work you and Mr Harley have put in and for updating my profile so quickly! it is all very much appreciated.

Hi Soph, you're very welcome! :) We plan to have a lot more contact with the members via PM to keep them updated on RYL and what's going on, so expect to feel a lot more loved in the future too! ;)
