hi, you would maybe get more replies in one of the support forums, where you could go into more detail as to what is making you feel so down.
*hugs* 2 and a half months is fabulous, but if you do SH, remember it is just a slip-up, it doesn't spoil your record, it's just your mind's way of testing new coping strategies, they're still developing to don't work 100% of the time just yet. But it will get better.
I'm completley recovered now, I found writing poetry helpful. also, as a distraction, I wrote down as many words and feelings that i felt relevant at the time, onto a piece of paper. Then i made word games out of them. Matching up opposites, matching up rhyming words. Making stories or poems out of the words, or simply just scribbling over them in black marker before ripping the page to shreds and flushing down the loo.

I hope you are feeling a little better now. Well done on going the last two and a half months without cutting, that is great. Like Mandi said though, if you did self harm you still did amazingly well and we all have slip ups in recovery. Self harm is a very difficult thing to overcome.
I can't really add much more to what Mandi said, the only thing you can do sometimes is just distract yourself, whichever way works for you. If it's triggered by something, talk to somebody about it, find a solution to the problem rather than self harm.

Do you know whats triggering you?
To distract yourself you could listen to music, watch the telly, go for a run, draw a picture, cuddle a teddy, write down whats making you feel this way, anything.
You can get through this.

Heya Justin Im sorry that your getting strong urges to harm yourself. Do you have any support at all? Does anyone know that your struggling? Is there anyone close to you that you could talk to? Do you want to talk to us about what it is that causes you to harm yourself? Im just thinking that it may help you to talk to us about it in a little more detail. What sorts of things have you tried in the past when you had strong urges to harm yourself? I know its really hard but you can get through this, these urges will fade away they wont stay forever.
