If you could paint a picture...

If you could paint a picture of how you are feeling what kind of a picture would you paint?

At the moment I would probably paint myself stood on the edge of a very high cliff, unsure of which way to go. How about anyone else. What might you paint????

I would draw a girl in a corner in a pretty dress, with ruined make-up and a cheap paper tiara on her head, crying.

Slightly morbid?

and alot of people express their feelings with words.

I have so many pictures expressing my feelings,

Im in a corner of a dark place which is my depression, and im screaming and crying ...........while im searching for an escape.
while my demons of depression and trauma surrround me

Thanks for your replies. Making pictures always helps me too. I can relate to the idea of your picture Olivia, maybe all women can at some point in their life.

That picture is amazing 'bleeding dragon' there is some much depth to it. Do you images take you long to do? I have viewed some of your other images on the site and they are all very expressive, and seem very meaningful. Your very talented.

I think something protraying my many roles/personalities/fears etc.
Sorry this didn't really answer your question...
Maybe I'll have a go later at drawing something and will come back...

i've done severl drawings/paintings, just to try and sort my own feelings out in my head. sometimes they are proper drawings, othertimes i just scribble with a red and black pen over a bit of white paper. choas, pain, suffering, tainting impurity, that kind of hting.

i would post some, but i woudl be worried they would be too triggering, and some of them are a bit private.

and my mum has suggested i become an art therapist

this is one that i drew/painted... its pretty much about the loneliness that drove me to cut.

and then this one's about the voice in your head that tells me to cut or kill myself, depending on how strong it is...

Thank you P,
For saying my picture is amazing and shows so much depth, yes my images take me anywhere from 1 hour to 2-3 its a process of getting it from my head to the laptop. Its a way of me staying sane i think, theres alot more very dark and triggering ones ive done but cant show on ryl. I have over 120 pieces now, They all are meaningfull to me they represent my depression and trauma and my journey its very frightening alot of the time.

I was frustrated that when i was seing my community mental health nurse, who i dont see anymore, she didnt know what to make of them, she joked that if she brought a student and they saw my artwork id be carted of and locked up.
