Mood Swings *possibly triggering*
I don't think this is triggering, but just to be safe I put that as the title...
Here's the thing, I keep having these really extreme mood swings, I've spoken to my GP about it, and he said I should just speak to my psych, I spoke to my psych about it and he didn't seem too bothered.
It's just that my highs are really high, and my lows are extremely low. I don't remember what happens to me when I'm on my highs, my friend said I do "some wierd ****" I still feel fed-up when I'm on my highs, I know that. When I'm low, all I think about is suicide and self-harm. My parents think it's a phase and no-ones taken a interest in it, it's like they think it's normal. I don't know what to do, sorry about the long post...It's just this is really getting me down.

mood swings can be due to alot of things. everyone gets mood swings to some degree but if they are becoming extreme you really need to emphasize to your psych how you need help with this because from how you described them they sound uncontrollable.

A mood chart/tracker might be a good thing to do, in that case.

i had a sheet to fill in when i seen my psych. It said .. servere elation, moderate elation, mild elation, balanced, mildly depressed, moderately depressed, serverely depressed and you tick a box evrey day. i have really bad mood swings and i seen my gp and i got refared to a psych, and now im diagnosed as bipolar. However, lots of things can cause mood swings so you should have a blood test first, cos thyroid problems can be similar

But it bothers YOU. Can you speak with a different GP at your practice?

I'm just going to go back to my GP about it. If he ignores it again then I will go to someone else...
Thanks xx

Good for you. It's important you get some help with this, and you're worth it.
