Italian online courses?

Does anyone know of any low cost or preferably free, Italian language short courses? They have to be basic, as my Italian is zero (I only know things like pizza, tiramisu, linguine etc).

The reason is that I want to say "how are you?" to my psych as he is Italian.

Not sure if free or not, haven't had a proper look, but maybe try looking here. Also, if you only want to learn to say 'how are you', maybe try Googling 'English to Italian translator'.

I am also keen to learn some Italian and have some Italian CDs at home. So far I can only say "Two cappuccinos, please". (Due cappuccini, per favore).

With Google translate, you can type in simple phrases and there's a little speaker button so you can hear how to say it. Online translators are only useful for little phrases though, they're not very good at putting together whole sentences. 'How are you?' should work fine though.

Your local library should have language CDs that you can borrow for free. :)

Thanks to everyone for their suggestions. I think I have found an website which pronounces the phrase I want.

I do have the google translate app on my phone, but it doesnt do pronunciations. I want to learn the correct way to pronunciate so I dont confuse my psych!
