Anxiety

This is going to seem like a fairly trivial problem to some but I suffer from anxiety pretty badly. I am getting married in a month and had my hen party last sat. There were 15 of us in the room and I was absolutely petrified! I was nearly passing out. There will be 80 at the wedding. How am I going to cope? Any tips for dealing with anxiety? I have anxiety tablets but they don't seem to do a lot. Thanks!

Not a trivial problem at all!

Is it mainly just large groups of people that trigger your anxiety? Or are there other factors?

What anxiety tablets do you have? If you feel they're not working, you could go back to whoever prescribed them to ask for something different.

In terms of managing anxiety, has the wedding venue and such been set yet? Perhaps choosing somewhere not too cramped would help, or if you've already chosen the venue, make sure you are familiar with the room and layout, and see if there's a little room nearby you could pop to if you're feeling a little overwhelmed? It's your big day, so feel free to demand as many adjustments as possible in order to make it enjoyable for you!

No other sadness in the world would do

Thanks for the reply!

I think there are probably a lot of triggers really. Sometimes I even get anxious when it's just one other person but its definitely worse when in large groups. I think people looking at me (which obviously they will when I'm walking down the aisle) really triggers it. I know all the people coming to the wedding but for some reason I feel even more pressure when it's people I know. I'm familiar with the church and the venue thankfully and I know where I can run to if it gets too much. The doc gave me buspirone but I've got an appt to see him next week.
