I think you mean 'Emotionally unstable personality Disorder'. It's the term used from the ICD 10 whereas in the States they follow the DSM and there its called Borderline Personality Disorder. Basically you have to fit 5 out of 9 symptoms of the criteria to be diagnosed with borderline. No borderline is ever the same as the criteria is so vast that that alot of people fit into it. From the top of my head the criteria is:
1) inappropriate anger
2) avoid real or perceived abandonment
3)selfharm gestures(do not include suicide here)
4) suicidal gestures
5) impulsivity
6)
