Do you like going out on a shopping trip for a whole day on the high streets?
My Mum used to force me to go to central London and go on ridiculously long shopping sprees. It was horrible.
If I have to buy new clothes, I will do it on the internet as much as possible. If I can't buy it online, I will walk into a shop, buy something as quickly as possible, walk out and go home.
I hate clothes shopping.
Do you like or dislike clothes shopping? And if so, why?
PM me if you want a PDF copy of the ICD-10or the Mental Health Act 1983/2007. I ALSO HAVE THE DSM-V BOOK and am a pharmacology student.
I have a visual impairment / neurological problems so I need people to type in clear text and no funny fonts. Also excuse any typos, my vision blocks things out.
I have autism and have problems communicating, PMs included.
Just becasue I type well doesn't mean I speak well. I am only part time verbal.
I don't really go shopping as a trip anymore because I don't have the time. Most of my shopping also takes place online with the occasional trip into town if I can manage it. Personally, I will avoid going shopping alone because I end up getting incredibly upset but that's due to body image woes, so probably isn't worth mentioning! That's why I don't go though - and the fact I don't really have enough money to!
For me, shopping with friends was more of a social thing because, although the idea was to shop, it was more of a chance to have a catch up, grab a coffee and see how life was. I don't mind shopping for that reason.
I actually rarely shop online. I do like going clothes shopping, as long as it's for me! lol. I guess I just like getting new things. I do sort of dread having to try on clothes though. Maybe I'm just lazy! I hated it though when my mom dragged me to the store for hours to get me a few shirts and then I'd spend the rest of the time sitting around bored out of my mind while she picked up some things for my dad or brother. Shopping makes me tired quickly, but I'm not sure why. When I was little I remember nearly falling asleep in dressing rooms while waiting for my mom to come back with a different size of something.
Like Shine, I do like going to the store with friends but we mainly look around at everything without buying much if anything and it's more for the social part.
Giving up doesn't always mean you're weak.
Sometimes it just means you're strong enough to let go.
I don't like long shopping trips, I get bored after a while. I usually buy my clothes from catalogues or the internet. When I do go clothes shopping in shops I usually find what ever it is I want/need, pay, then leave, I don't see much point in sticking around if I've got what I need.
I don't mind being with someone who is shopping and they are taking a while, sometimes it can be nice to have a chat then go for lunch, but if I'm just shopping for myself I'm generally quick.
I actually prefer shopping on my own. With friends I sometimes see things I would like to buy but don't like to ask them to wait whilst I go and look or pay so I don't end up getting it.
I don't really like shopping for clothes, but I like looking around shops to find birthday or Christmas presents for people, and just wandering around looking at stuff. I don't like it if its too busy though, but that's another good thing about going on my own is I can leave the shop whenever I want to and not have to wait for anyone so if its busy I can escape.
I love shopping and prefer to go alone. As I spend ages trying things on and browsing and changing my mind. Plus I can do what I want when I want - ie I can go/leave when I want and go for lunch or a coffee when I want.

I have mixed feelings about shopping. Im often too self conscious to look at thingsroperly, though i have no idea why. But i do like wandering around and getting something to eat etc. in the past when ive wanted to get away from things ive pretended to be going out with friends and just spent a whole day wandering the bigbshopping centre near me, reading on benches etc

Some of life's mysteries will never be solved, such as why, after spending an entire evening listenong to Bach, do I find myself humming "the birdie song".......
I am reaching, but i fall, and the stars are black and cold, as i stare into the void of a world that cannot hold- les miserables
Shopping used to be one of my favourite things to do with my friends but now I get far too anxious. I always buy clothes and christmas/ birthday presents online and only go to the shops for small things like shampoo/ deodrant etc that I wouldn't really order online. I just find shops far too busy!
I really like shopping but only when i'm alone or with my best friend, if i'm in a group or with people I maybe don't know as well I feel really awkward making them wait while I try things on, or if the queue is big i'll feel bad for the people i'm with.
However if i'm shopping alone I find I spend a lot more than if i'm with others which probably isn't very good haha
We need never be hopeless, because we can never be irreparably broken
I HATE shopping for clothes. I find it stressful and get very anxious in crowds. I like shopping for things like art supplies and I do like getting new clothes (sometimes), but the process of clothes shopping I do not find particularly enjoyable. I certainly couldn't spend a whole day doing it. I'm like you Oly, I go into the shop and quickly get what I need.
Haven't visited a clothing retail store for the best part of 2 years now, I'm not going to support over priced tack when I can find superior items online for a lot less.
Some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money.
They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned or negotiated with.
Some men just want to watch the world burn.
I love going shopping, but only with one other person at a time.
Shame I forever lack money!

You never tell me what it is that makes you strong and what it is that makes you weak.
I love shopping! For anything and everything! I usually go with my mam or alone. My dad will come and sit outside all the shops till we're finished. Last week we must have left him outside Penneys for half an hour at least! Lol. He was ok though, he read the paper.
But yeah, me and my mam are total shopaholics. We love bargains. I spent 33 euro in the 1.49 shop yesterday lol.i also like shopping online but I'm very impatient and I hate when I have to bid on eBay, I get all stressed out, I love when I have the option to buy it now. Otherwise I mainly use amazon. But I hate having to wait for stuff to arrive, I want it straight away.
I love shopping :)
Even if I don't get anything, I love to just browse the shops and have a wander. Not so fun when it's crazy busy, but I try to go on quieter days.
Plus, it makes a nice change from cooping yourself up in the library/lab etc!
I don't like clothes shopping before Christmas because its too crowded etc. Clothes shopping after Christmas can be fun because of all the deals and smaller crowds .
