Contains Suicide - Cipralex

Hello,

i am taking a dose of 20mg of Cipralex a day... While its has helped to some degree with my anxiety it doesn't seem to do anything to reduce the level of my depression, if anything it is deepening and i am plagued daily with thoughts of doing something that will put and end to my misery and pain.....

I have an appointment with my GP next week and am not good at saying to the GP just how badly I feel and how bad and desperate things seem.... how do I say what i need to say....

can anyone suggest a medication that may be of more benefit to me than my currant dose of 20mg Cipralex.....

How long have you been on it? Meds can take a while to work or increase low thoughts at first. Maybe the dosage needs increased?
Be honest with your gp, so they can discuss changes that may be need it terms of dosage or a different med.
Are you seeing a therapist to talk through these feelings?
I'm afraid I am not much use in recommending a medication, because I have been having my mine changed a lot. They work differently for different people, so let you gp know so they can look at options.
Take care.xx
