That said, if you change it every second week (and it's easy to tell during the username change process) then it won't be approved. There does need to be a reasonable time frame between them.

sorry to hijack this thread, but i changed my name impulsively the other night, would i be able to get my name changed back to what it was before?
Without wanting to start a fight, I think it's somewhat irrelevant if it is aimed at anybody or not (although if it is, the best thing to do is to report it to the mods who can handle it accordingly). The fact is, it is very annoying when people change their usernames on a regular basis. The whole point of a username is that it's a name from which people can recognise you; if you (general you, not specific you) are changing it on a regular basis it becomes very confusing for everybody else (not to mention, hassle for the mods).
No not at all, i just meant in general. I have noticed it though and im sure others have. Without meaning to sound rude i find it very annoying when people just assume iv said something to them when i havent. If i meant you i would have said your username but i didnt.

Emma, I'm happy for you to go back to your previous username, simply because it avoids confusion of "whothe****isninja?". Put a request in for it to go back to your original, and it shall be done.
Lily, PM me if you'd like to discuss another username, given you've only had this one for... mmm... an hour or two, changing it shouldn't cause much confusion. Except for me, woe!

As always, wise words. For those who repeatedly do it there will be a waiting time period cause it isn't fair on everyone, username changes were initially not even built into this v3 system and, oh, those days were dandy.
