I am currently:
Gilles Deleuze - BwO

Does anyone knows the work of this Philosopher?

I started reading about him a few days ago after a cousin how studies philosophy introduced me to his theories that I found at least interesting.

I'm more interested on is studies on the domain of Metaphysics.

In particular the theory of the Body Without Organs. To quote something:

You invent self-destructions that have nothing to do with the death-drive.
Dismantling the organism never meant killing yourself, but rather opening the body to connections that presuppose an entire assemblage [… ]. [… .] You have to keep enough of the organism for it to reform each dawn [… ]. [… ] You don’t reach the BwO [… ] by wildly destratifying. [… .] If you free it with too violent an action, if you blow apart the strata without taking precautions, then [… ] you will be killed, plunged into a black hole, or even dragged toward catastrophe. Staying stratified – organized, signified, subjected – is not the worst that can happen; the worst that can happen is if you throw the strata into demented or suicidal collapse, which bring them back down on us heavier than ever (Deleuze
and Guattari 1988: 160-161)

But they also give warning in their books to the danger of attaining the body without organs so I also like to read the scepticism of Ansell Pearson about his theories.

Have anyone ever read Deleuze? What are your opinions?

Interesting piece. Ive not heard of this guy. Im not learned or well read for that matter. I do like thing slike this. My former therapist was heavily into metaphysics. My mother is too. But enough said about that ¬.¬

Reminds me of my mother constantly banging on....."you are not your body" and "nothing in this room is real"

Reminds me also of a book (okay so i do read "sometimes") i once read on Samadi. The Hindu(?) (iirc) state of higher conciousness in which you transcend the physical and all levels in between.

Deleuze is great! His best stuff is with Guttari. If you are interested you should probably invest in a copy of Capitalism and Schizophrenia, but just know that at times it is rather strange and rather heavy-going.
