I am currently:
Borderline Personality Disorder.

Ive been in DBT for about 2 months and it seems to be quite challenging.
I dont really understand the point of the group.
i mean with wise mind and reasonable mind.
Any one else with BPD or in DBT?

I have BPD and I have done DBT. It's very confusing but once you get the hang of it, it really helps.

Isn’t it funny how day by day nothing changes but when you look back, everything is different…

DBT is especially for people with BPD.
Wise mind is the opposite to emotional mind, it's when you are logical and able to make decisions properly without heightened emotions getting in the way.
Perhaps you should speak to the person running the group if you have queries about the work you are doing?
I've done each module three times over and always found it really helpful. Especially as you can utilize the skills long after the actual course ends.
Stick with it :)

Stop thinking about what I want, what he wants, what your parents want. What do you want?

I have bpd and did dbt for 6 months (completed one round of it) and still work with my dbt individual therapist.

As someone mentioned, talking with your individual therapist about things that are happening in group or things you are wondering about can be very helpful. Also if you have questions sometimes it can be appropriate to bring them up in group during homework review.

For me personally group was helpful just because I got to hear experiences from others, realize I'm not alone and there are other people out there, who appear very normal but are also struggling with these same things. Also hearing what other people did to help themselves with skills was useful as sometimes people had some great ideas.

I have BPD and am in individual DBT right now. Since I'm in and out of the hospital my therapist isn't making me go to group.

Feel free to PM me anytime <3

I don't have BPD but I have done DBT. It was sorta helpful. The idea of logical mind and emotional mind is that you have can be entirely logical (this is where I generally fall)- facts, etc. or entirely emotional - completely reactive, not thinking things through, etc. But in reality neither of them are good to only have. You need some emotions and some logic, which makes wise mind.
