Should I be worried?

I have been predominantly manic for five or six weeks now. Should I be worried about the crash. I really feel great so I can't complain. My other concern is that I recently started graduate school so it is a new class of people that only know me as outgoing, social, and happy. I am worried about what they will think of me when I become a totally different person.

I would speak with your doctor. Manic for 5-6 weeks is draining and although you feel *ok* you could have a bigger come down.

My doctor knows. He says that cyclothymic is better than bipolar.

My guess is that you've been frantically busy with all this newness, working at your work and relationships and etc.
So, maybe it isn't 'clinical' mania, but more of an emotional state due to your circumstances?

If your doctor knows and has no worries then I would try and have no worried also. Of u feel the doc is wrong

I'm starting to think that this is a problem. I am feeling kind of disorganized. I was very involved in participation in class today. After class some of my classmates were laughing at how direct i was. I said "its hilarious isnt it? and you would tell me if I get over the top right?" these two people know me and know whats going on and they said that I kinda was over the top today. I worry about teachers accusing me of being on drugs or something. I have so much riding on right now and I feel better than ever before. I've really never been manic for so long. I worry about waking up tomorrow thinking I'm God even though I've never had thoughts like that.

Have you thought about talking to someone about what's going on right now?
I'm sure no-one will accuse you of being on drugs or anything, even if you are being out or character or over the top.

What's the longest it's been before?

I'm usually only manic for a few days at a time. Today was full blown and very uncomfortable. I just hope I sleep. I see my doctor in a week and a half i think. I really need to be on the ball tomorrow and I hope I feel better.

I think that, as it's out of character, you should see what the doctor says, when you next see him next week.
