Triggering (SI) - Student loan people i owe feeling triggered

Ok so i have a bit of money worries i owe a lot to people like my da the bank and shops i though when i finally got my Student loan in i would be fine and ok but i feel worst i dont know i think iv been trying to block out what i owe and now i have to face it its not the end of the world it add's up to a few thousand which at 20 with nothing to really show for it is crap oh i had thinking sorry just and rant im just really triggered sitting here with a **** on my lap and trying to distract my self cos i so so want to cut sos

Its not helping that all my old cuts now scars and oh i dont know sorry ignor me

aaww sweetie, i know how you feel, my loan did jack when i got it I still owed people money and it was more going out then more coming in, this is why im taking a gap year out of uni and working to get money, could you do the same? could yyu find a job now and then finish uni next year... ? sorry not much help sweeite, huggles PM if you need to talk XXXX

I understand the frustration, i am struggling myself with my money even though i have got a hardship fund. My rent is extremely high compared to most students let alone the cost of supplies for my course.

Its one of a few things in my life that really do get me down, it eats you up inside.have you thought about speaking to your uni for advice on money and also the counselling services at uni are meant to be great even if you just go a couple of times.

Is there anything else going on in your life that is making you feel like this?

Student loans arnt meant to be paid back until you earn over so much uni, so really you shouldnt worry about that until you get a job. But in someo ways this is what being a student is all about, and alot of people are in the same situation. Yes it sucks but you need to start budgeting and seeing if there is any other money you could be entitled to

i've spent the last 3 years struggling with money whilst at uni. i had a job for the first 2 years but it made my (then untreated) depression a lot worse so i ended up struggling with uni. HOWEVER, i've since graduated and now have a decent(ish) job which means i'm no longer constantly skint. i know i woe a lot of money to the SLC but like others have said you don't have tp worry about paying that off yet. My primarty concern is getting my overdraft down, which now i've got a job is a lot easier.

i know its a scary thought, but try not to let it drive you to this. I've had weeks when i've had no money, when i couldn't afford to eat. if you're anywhere near your final year your uni might have a hardship fund you can access. they gace me £400 which i didnt have to pay back. which really helped when i had bills and rent to pay. i know it seems bad now but it wont be this way forever *hugs*
