these things don't always help me but they've all i've got.
when i need to do the absolute minimum
1. say you have 3 subjects to do: pick 1 to do, one to ignore and one to think about later, dependiing on how behind you are and how much the tutor likes you.
2. for the one subject i say "i am not going to do anything else until i have done this 1 piece of work"
3. set a finish time - a reasonable one - and something you're going to do at that time (like having dinner)
4. decide before you start on a break - if it's going to take an hour in all, maybe after 30 mins
5. i head up the paper so it's not blank
6. then i say "3, 2, 1, GO" and write, trying not to even think about it, just writing whatever i can think of.
that way i can normally get a couple of grades below what teachers expect, but it's better than nothing.
for 15 minutes before you start, write down all the reasons FOR doing the work and all the reasons AGAINST (capital letters help lol) that way it helps get all the worries and lack of motivation in terms you set, naming things can be very helpful.
but to be honest sometimes you get to a point where you just can't make yourself, and i think that's ok, because it's not soemthing you're choosin, it's part of where you are in life at the moment.
