Spiralling downhill

Hey, I've been fine for a few months, so yeah, everyone around me thinks everythings sorted. I've finished my hypnotherapy, counselling and with CAMHs. But the thing is I'm spiralling downwards again and I don't know what to do. I feel, I don't like using the word, depressed, again. Everything gets me down and I'm crying...a lot. I don't know what I should do, should I talkto someone again or is it just a phase, should I leave it?
I really need some advice, I'm getting sort of desperate, thanks

sounds like it'd be best to talk to someone about this, maybe it's a 'phase' you'll work through yourself, but you don't want to risk relapsing. do you still have contact with any of the people you were seeing before?

Wow thanks for the fast reply! Ermm, I'm in contact with my hypnotherapist, but it's not really hypnotherapy I need...

ha yeah, i just logged on. could your hypnotherapist be someone you could chat about this with, see what they think? doesn't mean you have to go back into therapy but they might have some good advice. and i'm sure someone else here will come up with something helpful. or if not the therapist, someone in your family perhaps.

I don't want to bother her really to be honest. And the thing is I would love to chat to my Mum or someone about it, but she will say "well why have you gone downhill?" and I dont have a specific reason therefore that will not be good enough so she wont believe me, and then it'll be like that...

But the thing is, what can she do? Only pass it onto my Dad, and then he will say the same as my Mum I'm stuck...xx

I'm seeing the doctor tomorrow to get another prescription for my pill. But I don't think I can bring myself to talk to him...he's not the nicer doctor, the one I'm seeing is the one that dismisses everything...

I was going to suggest perhaps you could speak to your GP if you're only in contact with the hypotherapist, but seems you beat me to it =p

Could you not request a specific doctor when making your appointments? That's what I do now so that I end up with the doctor I like.

I know it seems like your parents will judge you, but you would be surprised how much they love you and want your happiness. Also, you know parents are pretty observant when it comes to their kids, so it might not be as much of a shock to them as you think. You don't have to lable it as being depressed if you think that will make them judgemental, just say you are having a hard time, and try to explain things like you did here. Everyone has hard times, so that will make it easier for your parents to listen and you won't set them off on the what happened speech.

yeah, as has said above, talking to your parents would be a good idea.

Hey hun it's Lyssie... sorry I missed this, but it's ok because I texted you. I say get an appointment with the Dr you like, and tell him/her that you're still feeling depressed and that you're moods been quite low. I'm not sure what to say, I'm not any help, sorry.

I know parents are observant but they are worrying about my brother, as he is struggling in English. Woopdedoo! I'm struggling with History, Music, English Science etc...but oh no that doesn't freakin' matter!
I didn't talk to the doctor...I don't know how anyone can help me, it's useless

It's not useless honey, you can do this, you've recovered from worse before. Would you be able to take a friend to the doctors with you to help you speak to them? Or help you speak to your parents? Can you approach anyone at school about what you're struggling with and ask for some extra help? Just trying to think of things you can do, sorry I'm not being much help but you know I'm here for you any time.

hey im sorry things are tough for you atm, but hopefully it will get better asap. you are bound to have days where you feel depressed and all the above... but ya know , it wont stay like that. i think you have already realized yourself that you can achieve happiness, and that it is a phase.

However, being able to be honest makes a huge difference to the way that you feel and i think that yo should try to tell your parents or whoever that even though you are recovering it is going to be a bumpy ride and that you are not Recovered yet.

I think it is a good idea to try to talk to somebody who can listen and see the real you, as masking things really isnt good.

i also wanted to ask whether you are on any anti deppresants atm? Cos they may be worth a try.

i hope you start to feel happier again very soon.

Thankyou, and no I'm not on anti-d's my Parents wouldnt let me as they refuse to have me happy :-P jokes. No I werent aloud them...I think they wouldve helped too

Hey hun I'm sorry to hear you're struggling again, anythign set it off?

I would ask to see a diff doctor :) I do that whenever I need to go now cos some at my surgery just aren't very nice. If you're getting bad again you need to tell someone, better try and do something before it gets worse, it might not but better to be careful.
