Possibly Triggering - come back
He said "Some days I feel like dirt,
Some days I want to quit, and just be normal for a bit,"
I don't understand why he’s gone,
I get along but I know all he wants is to go home,
I use to find him staring at his phone
Because your voice always helps him
And now he feels so alone,
But I feel like an idiot,
And when you call, the deafen silence echo’s in our head
So, I want you to know it's a little screwed up,
That I'm stuck here waiting, at times debating,
Telling God that I've had it with his plan,
Now that the angel is gone
Where did you go?
I miss you so
Seems like it's been forever,
That you've been gone.
Please come back home
Times can be hard to swallow
In search of God's tomorrow
So I borrow words from the Bible
And use them for our survival
Come back home,
You know the place where you used to live,
Used to fry bacon and eggs,
Used to have a little party every Christmas with family and friends,
But now, these empty rooms are filled with quiet fatal thoughts,
I find myself just filling my time,
With anything to keep the thought of her from my mind,
And I don’t know what to say
Because every single thought is laced with anger and finds a way
Remembering when you and him used to gaze at the sun
Pictures of roofs and rainbows on his phone.
But the rest don’t see that he’s gone
Something inside that tells me I don’t belong.
What else is there to do?
So I just carry on.
Keeping his memory alive
I try my best to keep it together, its cold
Like the Windy City streets of December
I pace back and forth
Looking for the courage to shine
But can't lap the source
Need something to nourish my mind
I know we all lose quite a bit in life
Only to gain some
Life or the dark winding roads we came from
But I move with the night, so I'm used to the shade
And never lose sight, bringing truth back to the game
