I am currently:
PMDD?

Long bio short:

I'm three years SI free. A few years ago, I went on oral contraceptives to help alleviate symptoms related to PMS...Earlier this year, I was finally diagnosed with PMDD, premenstrual dysphoric disorder. My symptoms tend to spiral out of control, monthly, and at one point, it was questioned whether I was suffering from bipolar disorder.

I fear that, if left untreated, my monthly tirades could lead to compromising my safety, relationships, grades, and future. They have already cost me my job. I am going to address my concerns with my doctor when I follow up for my yearly exam.

I'm wondering, though:

Do any of you suffer from PMDD?
What are your experiences with it?
Are you being treated for it, and if so, what kind of treatment are you undergoing?

Just wondering. This is pretty irksome.

I am currently:

I don't think I have PMDD but I definately have very very bad mood swings relating to periods.

At the moment I'm trying Evening Primose Oil to help settle things down. And if that doesn't help in a couple of months I'm going to finally see my GP.

Its really starting to endanger my well being because I can get really out of control and barely know what I'm doing at times. I sometimes feel really violent and its hard not to act on it, or else I get mad urges to jump out of windows and stuff, so I really do need to get help with it.

That sounds pretty horrendous.

I don't have the same condition, but I can tell you the recommendations my doctor made, which were for PMT making mood swings even more severe.

1) Take a vitamin B6 supplement
2) Follow a low glycemic index diet for the week before and the week during your period to stabilise your blood sugar levels. You can look it up, but the key things are to eat at regular intervals and avoid sugary foods, white rice, white bread, and white pasta. (Obviously eat the recommended calories though.)

The Vitamin B helps slightly. I haven’t tried the diet stuff thoroughly yet, because of major problems with motivation. Rubbish of me I know.

But definitely talk to your doctor.
.
Also well done on stopping the SI – I hope you’re proud of that!
