Eating Disorder - I've become cold 24-7 (non urgent)

I'm cold
Always.

Just today, in one of my classes, my teacher felt I was nuts for wanting to close the window.
I'm sitting next to the heater, with a heavy sweater on. And she asked me to open the window.

Thank god one of the boys who sits in front of the class offered to switch seats (he has a crush on the girl next to me though. Typical behavour lol)

But this is far from being a "sudden" occourance.

I'm wearing long sleeves, even on days where it's like 60/70ish. And shivering.

Admitedly, I'm not eating as well as I could be...
Meaning, I'm eating, some. But, I *am* loosing a bit of weight quickly. I refuse to eat breakfast, and most days I pick at lunch & dinner...
I figure it's probably somewhat related. I'm also in sports and stuff.... so it's not like my body fat is exactly high to begin with.

Yeah. Sugestions?

I'm like this as well, and I also don't eat as well as I should. I'm pretty sure this is a really common thing for people who don't eat properly or have poor nutrition. It happens a lot with eating disorders.

Body fat is what keeps you insulated. In people where this is low they then to feel the cold quite easily. 60-70F isn't that warm and most people would be wearing long sleeves at that/ a jumper anyway, well between 60 & 65 or so anyway, above that then you'e starting to get into the whelms of people not wearing jumpers. Though, some people still feel the cold more than others but it is likely to be related to you not having much body fat and eating much too.

- Complications with a low BMI (/ being underweight)
o Low blood pressure
o Amenorrhoea
o Fainting/ Dizziness
o Osteoporosis
o Lack of Growth (if still a child/ teenager)
o Heart problems
o Lack of energy (due to low fat stores)
o Feeling cold (due to low fat stores)
o Circulation problems
Taken from the RYL Eating Disorder Guide, which is posted in a sticky at the top of the forum.

Loosing weight quickly can also produce the same problems, even if your BMI isn't low.

Well it breaks my heart to see you this way,
The beauty in life, where's it gone?
And somebody told me you were doing okay,
Somehow I guess they were wrong.

Lack of eating also means that your body becomes more prone to "energy saving" it is more likely to keep your core body temperature warm rather that your extremities (arms, legs, hands, feet) and this can leave you feeling cold even if you aren't underweight.
