chats not opening
 

hi, i cannot access chat- all i get is the blue screen and nothing else. can anyone tell me what to do or how to fix this?

There are three threads on this page about the same issue, so I hope that you can find a resolution there.

Try and have a quick look through the first page just to make sure that the issue is not wide spread :-)

ive had a look at the other threads and there were comments saying it was up and running but i still cannot get past the blue screen thing :(

Hmm... have you cleared your cookies? (Tools>Internet options> Clear cookies [will also delete your saved passwords e.t.c])???

Has chat always worked in the past?

It could be to do with your browser what you using?

try deleting your cookies and try again

This is happening to me too so it is not just a problem that you are having.

When it happened before I just had to wait it out. Good luck though.

It's happening to me right now. I updated flash player the other day so I don't know if that's related.
Right obnoxious.

i was thinking that maybe it was flashplayer but how do i update it?

go to the flash website search it in google

lol, i have done that and reinstalled it but i still cannot get into chat :(

Have you tried using another browser to see if it works on them?

another browser- sorry i have technological inabilities. what do you mean and how woould i do it?

a browser is what you use to surf the web so

to name some of the main ones to try a different one the chances are you will have to download another one google can help with that

im so confused. i installed firefox and everything but im still getting the blue screen for chat? what am i supposed to do?

I have the same problem... get the blue screen on all browser, have updated flash player, TESTED that I actually have a working flash player.

nothing.
it's also very odd because both you and I are frequent chat users . I've never had problems with chat before.

I've cleared cookies, flash is up to date, and my noscript is set to allow all pages relating to RYL.

Also tested it in Internet Explorer, and I get the same thing, blue screen, with the exception of a white box at the bottom left.

Ok i think your going to have to PM James as it looks like the issue is with the chat software.

I don't use IE...

Thought I'd update you guys.
I just PM'ed James, hoping for a fast response. He's pretty much the master of all technical problems around RYL so he might know what's up with all of this. I'll keep you updated if I get an answer
